Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
If we continue to include the dwarf planets, in a few years we'll have to remember the dozens we expect to discover and the "mnemonic" sentence that corresponds to each planet name will become harder to remember than the names of the planets themselves. This task will become as interesting as remembering the first 50 digits of π, or all the U.S. presidents names (some of which I'd rather forget). (Although I should acknowledge that Monty Python had fun with a similar task.)
Stop, already. Eris isn't a planet. Nor is Pluto or Ceres.
Get over it.
